About the facility Ability Homecare
At Ability Homecare, we offer a comprehensive range of family-centered home care solutions for individuals who wish to remain in the comfort of their own homes. Based in Orlando, Florida, Ability Homecare has been a family-owned-and-operated business since 2019. We’re dedicated to improving the quality of life for seniors in an environment they’re familiar with. We provide quality non-medical home health care services for seniors who need assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
Our care staff is available throughout the day and is composed of administrative staff and care coordinators, as well as registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, home health aides, homemakers, companions, and sitters as needed. Whether you require hourly or live-in care, we provide cost-effective home health care rates. You can set up a free individual consultation, where we will assess your long-term care needs and develop a plan of care that works best for you.
Personal Care Services
Our personal care services are meant to assist individuals in every aspect of their day-to-day lives. Ranging from assistance with ADLs to transportation to and from appointments, we provide these supportive services so you can have more peace of mind and focus on your overall well-being.
Let’s begin with our assistance with ADLs, which are a vital part of everyday life. Our care staff will provide help with feeding, bathing, grooming, healthy meal preparation, and more — anything requested by you or a family member speaking on your behalf. Let us know what you need, and we will accommodate!
Our assistance with instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) includes but is not limited to shopping, running errands, transportation, and housekeeping to help ensure cleanliness and safety. We know that every individual is different, and we will provide help with IADLs based on your needs and interests.
We also provide emotional support through companionship. Our care staff is compassionate and aims to support you or your loved one in all aspects of daily life. Our care staff also helps with caring for friendly pets! If you or your loved one has an in-home pet but has had trouble tending to them for various reasons, you can rest assured that our care staff is here to give a helping hand.
Specialized Care Services
Our care staff provides specialized care services for clients currently admitted to a hospital or other health care facility, as well as services related to diabetes, stroke, or a range of other debilitating conditions. We also offer specialized care to clients post-hospitalization who are in need of rehabilitative services.
We can assist with transferring, ambulating, and administering prescribed or over-the-counter medications. We’ll also help you keep track of your medications and remind you when to take them.
Levels of Care
Ability Homecare will provide the type of care that best fits your lifestyle and health needs. Our services begin at a minimum of 9 hours per week or 3 hours per day, with the exception of weekends and holidays. Caregivers can also provide care throughout the day and night if needed.
If you’d like support or companionship on a higher level, a live-in caregiver is a cost-effective option. Live-in caregivers not only provide assistance with ADLs and IADLs, but they also offer joyful companionship, maintain emotional support, and promote peace of mind. Hiring a live-in caregiver avoids the commotion of multiple helpers coming and going in shifts throughout the day and night, allowing you and your caregiver to bond and focus on creating a tranquil atmosphere that’s ideal for convalescing and regaining strength. A live-in caregiver requires at least two consecutive days in the home and is the least expensive way of receiving continuous care.
Other care types include respite, holiday, weekend, and long-distance care. If you already have a primary caregiver, respite care gives them a break that can range from a few hours to days at a time. If you live an hour or more away, long-distance care is a great option. This kind of care consists of money management, arranging for other in-home caregivers to provide you with assistance, providing respite care for a primary caregiver, and planning for emergencies.
We also understand that your care needs are subject to change. We’ll accommodate these changes and make sure your needs will be met at any given time.
